Tour: HIS TOUCH / NOTHING LEFT TO BURN by Patty Blount - Reviews + Giveaway

HIS TOUCH
By: Patty Blount
Publisher: Tule Publishing
Release date: June 29, 2015
Pages: 168

When a surly paramedic finds Kara Larsen's lost toddler, only to berate her for failing to mind her child, Kara is embarrassed and relieved she'll never have to deal with that jerk again. Doesn't he know being a single mom is a lot harder than it looks?! But when baby Nadia has trouble breathing one night, Kara's frantic 911 call brings that same jerk right to her door...

FDNY paramedic Reid Bennett has a compulsion to help frantic parents. But after the way he over-reacted to the beautiful woman in the department store that day, she wants nothing to do with him. But it's not his fault he keeps running into her all over the city...

When Kara bumps into Reid for the third time in a week, she can't help but wonder if the mom she lost in 2001 is playing matchmaker. As Kara and Reid form a cautious friendship, he quickly becomes baby Nadia's favorite person. But Reid has no interest in long-term commitment, or so he thought. So when Nadia's father calls out of the blue and Kara agrees to see him, Reid realizes he has some triage to do if he hopes to keep his girls...

This book is amazing.

His Touch has an awesome story line. I love every character in this book, especially Kara and Reid. I am so glad they met. It must have been fate. Like they have been waiting for each other. The connection that Nadia has with Reid is so adorable.

I believe this book is very well written and the details were vividly clear. Author, Patty Bount is new to me and I’m so pleased to have been introduced to her work as I think it’s fantastic. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy today. You won’t be displeased.

Nothing Left to Burn was an interesting read. Personally I loved Reece as a character. He was well developed and you could easily feel his pain. For a teenager he had been through so much, and believed that his own father hated him.  It was clear that he wanted more than his fathers approval, but it was what matter most when this book started out. Upon meeting Amanda that all seemed to change.  Reece was given hope and I was glad that he got the chance to meet her.  Though, I will admit when he felt safe with her she betrayed him, it was for the best and helped everyone.

Reading Nothing Left to Burn made me want more and I believe you will too. This is the kind of book that you don’t want to end…  Even if you are happy with how it all did end. I would recommend you pick this one up! Happy reading!

Blog Tour: Post-Traumatic Brazilian Wax Syndrome by Tamara Lyon

About The Book:
Post-Traumatic Brazilian Wax Syndrome By: Tamara Lyon Pages: 348 Published: May 29, 2015

Bristow Sparks, an interior designer in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, has just landed the contract of a lifetime, working for the Cherry Wyeland, volatile reality star and CEO of Wine-A-Lot. Designing for a crazy person is an around-the-clock commitment. It frays Bristow’s nerves and forces her to compromise in unimaginable ways, but, given that the finished product will be featured on The Decorating Network, she must succeed.
While her professional life is hot, her personal life is barely room temperature. After surviving the relentless media spotlight because of a personal tragedy and a traitorous ex-boyfriend, Bristow flies so far under the radar she can’t even be detected. A homebody to the core, she binges on episodes of the Showtime series, Dexter, lives in sweatpants, and is addicted to exercise and Oreos.
As for relationships? She has fallen hard and fast for witty and adventurous Jack Hoffmann. However, after their disastrous first date where Bristow collides with a park bench among other mortifying mishaps, they are unfortunately just friends. At least there’s one male sharing her bed, even if it’s only Vegas, her theatrical golden retriever.
For her twenty-ninth birthday, Bristow goes out of her comfort zone and gets a makeover at an elite spa. Post-Brazilian wax and in excruciating pain, Bristow realizes that she’s been in a post-traumatic state for years. She vows to start taking risks again. When she finally goes after what and whom she wants, no matter the cost, tragedy strikes again . . .

This book is fabulous.

Bristow is my favorite character. I feel bad that Bristow keeps losing with love. I am glad she met Jack. I feel like Jack will give her anything she could need. I love Gigi. Bristow and Jack will make an awesome couple.
This book is well written. I hope there will be more books to come with these characters.

About The Author:

He’s had enough…

Stoic ex-Marine, Taylor Armstrong, survived his arrogant father, USMC General Michael Armstrong, and one too many deployments in Afghanistan. Review:
I loved this book.
The character I can relate the most to is Lizzie. I had an alcoholic in my life growing up. I am glad that Spencer and Cal were there for Lizzie to help her when she needed it. Cal has been through loss in his life. I am glad that Cal is talking to Ally. I think she will be good for him. This book is well written. WHAT REMAINS is a book that makes you wonder what will happen next.
Definitely give this book a try. I know I'm glad I did.

Helene Dunbar usually writes features about fiddles and accordions for an Irish Music Magazine, but she’s also been known to write about court cases, theater, and Native American Indian tribes. She’s amazed that she has a day job that pays her to spend time on Facebook and Twitter, and that, on a good day, gives her time to let the voices in her head out into the world to tell a story.

If she had to put money on it, she’d bet that if music didn’t exist, she wouldn’t be able to write.

She’s lived in two countries, six states, and is currently holed up in Nashville with her husband, daughter, two cats, and the world’s friendliest golden retriever.
